.RECRUITMENT AND SELECTION PROCESS FOR AN ASSISTANT PROFESSOR IN THE DISCIPLINARY AREA OF MANAGEMENT AT FACULDADE DE ECONOMIA DA UNIVERSIDADE DO PORTOAntónio de Sousa Pereira, Full Professor at the Abel Salazar Institute of Biomedical Sciences of the University of Porto and Rector of the same University, hereby announces that a recruitment procedure is open for a period of 30 working days, starting from the working day following the publication of this notice in the Jornal de Notícias and on the websites of the Faculty of Economics of the University of Porto and the University of Porto. This recruitment process aims to select an Assistant Professor on an indefinite employment contract, under the Labor Code and the Regulation of Celebration of Employment Contracts for Teaching Personnel of the University of Porto under the Labor Code (Order no. 1567/2013 of January 25, 2013, published in the DR, 2nd series, no. 18, of January 25, 2013), for the disciplinary area of Economics, particularly in the domain of Industrial Economics.1. Applicable Legal Provisions:Articles 37 to 51, 61, and 62-A of the Statute of the University Teaching Career (ECDU), republished by Decree-Law No. 205/2009, of August 31, and amended by Law No. 8/2010, of May 13; and the Regulation on the Execution of Employment Contracts for Teaching Staff of the University of Porto under the Labor Code.2. Admission to the recruitment process:Candidates who hold a doctoral degree will be admitted.If the doctorate has been awarded by a foreign higher education institution, it must comply with the provisions of Decree-Law no. 66/2018, published in the Diário da República, 1st series, no. 157, of August 16, 2018, and any formalities set out therein must be fulfilled by the application deadline.3. Absolute merit3.1. If there are no grounds for rejecting applications for failure to comply with the provisions of the previous paragraph, the Selection Committee will decide whether or not to approve them on absolute merit, by justified roll-call vote, with no abstentions allowed.3.2. A candidate who is approved by an absolute majority of the voting members of the Selection Committee will be considered to have passed on absolute merit.3.3
