We are now looking for a motivated and energetic External Communications Specialist to join our team on a 12-month contract, established to address a specific need within the organization. This role sits within our Marketing and Communications department, focusing on all external communications, including media relations, public relations, content creation, and copywriting.
As an External Communications Specialist, you will be responsible for managing and executing our external communications strategy to enhance our brand presence and reputation. You will work closely with various departments to create compelling content and ensure consistent messaging across all channels.
What do we expect from you?
Develop and implement external communications strategies to support business objectives.
Create and manage content for press releases, articles, blog posts, and other external channels.
Manage our communications agency to ensure effective media and public relations activities.
Coordinate and manage PR activities, including events, interviews, and press conferences.
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure consistent messaging and brand alignment.
Assist in crisis communication management when necessary.
Provide support for other marketing and communication activities as required.
What makes you a good candidate for this role?
Degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, or related field.
Proven experience in external communications, PR, or media relations.
Strong content creation and copywriting skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
Proficiency in digital communication tools and social media platforms.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with stakeholders.
Creative thinker with a proactive and hands-on attitude.
Experience in technology or related industries is a plus.
