.Job Description Boston Consulting Group (BCG) is seeking an experienced and motivated individual to join our team as the Director of ESG Supplier Risk. In this role, you will be critical in advancing BCG's commitment to environment, social and governance (ESG) standards within our supply chain. Responsibilities include: Leading our ESG Supplier Risk program to implement strategies to assess, manage and mitigate ESG-related risks associated with BCG's global supplier base. Collaborating with internal stakeholders, suppliers, and potentially clients, to ensure that ESG considerations are integrated in procurement processes and supply chain management. Overseeing and coordinating BCG's global ESG Supplier Risk Management program, coordinating efforts from a people and process perspective. Designing and implementing risk mitigation strategies to address identified ESG risks. Monitoring supplier performance against ESG criteria and developing regular reporting mechanisms for internal stakeholders and regulatory authorities. Serving as a subject matter expert on ESG supplier risk, offering guidance on best practices and industry standards. Staying current with emerging trends, regulations, and best practices in ESG risk management and supply chain sustainability. YOU'RE GOOD AT Evolving and implementing strategic framework: Execute BCG's ESG supplier risk management framework aligned with BCG's sustainability goals and client needs. Supplier Assessment and Engagement: Oversee the development and execution of supplier ESG risk assessments, including conducting due diligence in accordance with prevailing legislation. Risk Mitigation and Reporting: Design and implement risk mitigation strategies to address identified ESG risks. Stakeholder Collaboration: Interacting with various teams in a globally matrixed business. Continuous Improvement: Drive innovation in ESG risk management processes, leveraging technology and data analytics to improve efficiency and effectiveness. YOU BRING (EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS) Bachelor's degree in business, Supply Chain Management, Environmental Science, Sustainability, or a related field. An advanced degree (MBA, MS, or equivalent) is preferred. Minimum of 8 years of experience in supply chain management, procurement, or a related field, with a focus on ESG and sustainability. Proven record of accomplishment of developing and implementing ESG risk management strategies in a global organization. Excellent leadership and project management skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally. Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with diverse stakeholders. German language skills (preferred but not required) Fluency in German, with strong written communication skills
