The role will support Convatec's strategic ambition to embed ESG practices across the company and is responsible for developing and managing non-financial information and ESG data reporting processes as a key partner to stakeholders responsible for different aspects of our ESG agenda across the company. The person will also play a key role supporting ESG assurance processes.Why this role mattersAgainst a backdrop of changing regulatory requirements, notably the EU Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive, and evolving international standards, we are committed to building stakeholder trust and confidence by acting on issues that are important to them, and meeting standards that demonstrate these commitments in action.Sitting at the heart of the integrity of our non-financial information and ESG data reporting, Convatec's ESG external and stakeholder reporting, processes and controls, play a key role in ensuring stakeholder confidence.Key responsibilitiesReview all data requirements and develop, with support from the SMEs, robust, repeatable, and auditable processes to generate the data and non-financial information efficiently, leveraging the financial and other data already available where possible.Develop and ensure process documentation for these processes is up to date. Ensure reporting tasks are performed in line with the defined processes, standard operating procedures and work instructions – developing these where they do not exist.Act as a subject matter expert for relevant data, with technical support from the ESG topical SMEs.Work closely with the Internal Control team to develop and execute robust controls over the processes to collate, calculate and report data.Partner closely with the Convatec Group ESG manager, within the Global Corporate Affairs team, to ensure alignment to ESG governance, programmes and disclosure approach.Support the ESG Manager with relevant data and information to support broader ESG governance requirements, including annual processes required through CSRD.Partner with auditors through the reporting cycle on non-financial information and ESG data.Liaise with the SAP 4/Hana team to understand the opportunities to automate the collation, calculation and consolidation of ESG data post implementation.Partner with colleagues supporting ESG activity within GBS and in other teams.Escalate issues and concerns to RTR Team Lead/Consolidation Manager and RTR Tower Lead and/or ESG topic leads as appropriate and propose remediating actions.Proactively identify any areas of improvement to help maximise the efficiency and effectiveness of the processes, lead the implementation of improvement initiatives of medium to high level of complexity.Support cross-process and cross-function cooperation required to achieve overall goals for GBS.Drive the resolution of more complex queries raised by employees, managers, finance partners & other internal and external stakeholders, build good relationships with stakeholders.Key RequirementsMinimum 5+ years of overall combined accounting and finance experience.
