We are looking for a well-qualified and talented Teaching Assistant who provides high quality support for children and teachers in a wide range of learning and teaching contexts to join our team, in August 2025.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:Assist with Learning Activities: Support classroom learning by helping teachers plan and deliver engaging activities, adapting resources to meet diverse student needs.Monitor and Report on Student Progress: Observe and report on pupil performance across various settings (classroom, specialist lessons, playground), assisting with assessments and feedback.Support Individual Student Development: Provide targeted support to children's cognitive, social, and emotional development, fostering a positive learning environment.Encourage Positive Behavior: Promote and model positive behavior in line with the school's behavior management policies, ensuring a respectful and safe environment for learning.Assist Bilingual/Multilingual Pupils: Offer additional support to bilingual/multilingual students, helping them navigate language barriers and fully engage in learning.Adapt and Deliver Learning Materials: Prepare, deliver, and evaluate lessons or learning materials under the guidance of the teacher, ensuring students understand and complete tasks effectively.Support Children with Specific Learning Needs: Provide one-on-one or small group support to children with specific educational needs, ensuring they can access the curriculum and develop their skills.Promote Play and Learning: Encourage children's play and social interaction during free time, helping to develop social skills and peer relationships.Prepare Classroom Displays: Contribute to creating stimulating and visually appealing classroom environments by preparing displays that showcase student work and support ongoing learning themes.Collaborate with Staff: Work closely with teachers, specialists, and other assistants to deliver cohesive support, contributing to a collaborative and effective teaching environment.THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:Relevant University Degree: A degree in an appropriate subject, preferably related to English or education.Strong Command of English: Excellent understanding of the English language, supporting student literacy, reading, writing, and communication skills effectively.Vision for Outstanding Teaching: A clear idea of what exemplary support in teaching and learning looks like, assisting in creating an engaging and dynamic classroom environment.Adaptable and Supportive Approach: Ability to adjust teaching support based on the needs and feedback of both students and lead teachers, ensuring effective learning outcomes.Excellent Organisational Skills: Ability to manage classroom tasks, resources, and time efficiently while supporting the smooth running of daily lessons.Positive Attitude to Change: An enthusiastic approach to adapting to new teaching strategies, school policies, and technological advancements in education.Focus on Student Well-being: A caring and supportive approach, ensuring the highest standards of welfare and development for every student.Proficiency in ICT: Confidence in using technology to enhance teaching and learning, particularly in supporting students' use of educational tools and resources.Continuous Improvement Mindset: Dedication to personal growth and development, seeking opportunities to improve educational support skills and learning methodologies.Collaborative Team Player: Ability to work effectively with teachers, support staff, and students to contribute to a cohesive and positive classroom environment.SAFEGUARDING STATEMENTInspired Education Group is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff, volunteers and other third parties to share this commitment.
