We seek a motivated English Literature and Language Teacher to help students develop a deep understanding of English literature and language while enhancing their critical thinking, analytical, and communication skills.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Deliver engaging instruction in English Literature and Language, aligned with Cambridge IGCSE and IB curricula.
Foster critical thinking and literary analysis, encouraging a passion for diverse texts and real-world connections.
Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of students with diverse abilities, ensuring an inclusive classroom.
Develop students' analytical and creative writing skills, preparing them for various assessments.
Promote debate, critical thinking, and independent research through collaborative classroom activities.
Use diverse teaching methods, including technology, to enhance learning outcomes.
Provide constructive feedback using formative and summative assessments to track progress.
Promote student well-being and confidence by creating an inclusive, supportive learning environment.
Adhere to school policies and maintain high professional standards while contributing to the school community.
Engage in continuous professional development to stay updated with the latest teaching practices.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:
A relevant degree in English, English Literature, or a related field, with international teaching experience preferred.
A valid teaching qualification and experience in teaching English Literature and Language at the secondary level.
A deep passion for literature and language, with a commitment to fostering critical thinking in students.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Highly organised, detail-oriented, and collaborative in teaching.
A commitment to student welfare and safeguarding.
A strong command of English, with an openness to innovative teaching methods.
