This opportunity for an Engineer | Aircraft Flight Dynamics (m/f/d) will be integrated into the Aeronautics team.
Responsibilities: Collaborate closely with the Aerodynamic and Aircraft performance teams to propose aircraft configuration optimizations to the Project Management Team.
Cooperate within a team to improve tools and processes and share knowledge/information.
Develop reliable flight mechanics models, vehicle simulations, and tools for handling qualities necessary for the development of a new aircraft.
Organize and lead all flight dynamic simulation activities required to answer a new aircraft program during the full product life cycle.
Produce all needed documentation required for certification.
Provide support during the aircraft development phase, including the certification phase, and participate in potential optimization campaigns while in service.
Support any aircraft flight dynamic data requests from marketing or other company departments.
Support the flight test campaign required to achieve the aircraft certification.
Qualifications: M.Sc. or Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering or similar discipline.
Proven experience in Flight Control Systems and Flight Mechanics activities covering the full lifecycle of an aerospace artefact, from conceptual phase to industrial production.
Good interpersonal skills to work as a team, but can also work independently and demonstrate self-reliance and initiative to achieve the goals established.
Good knowledge of aerodynamic simulations, aircraft mission performance, and propulsion systems.
Good programming skills in C#, C++, VBA, Matlab, Python, FORTRAN, and experience using Matlab/Simulink for modelling purposes in a professional work environment.
Hands-on experience with Requirement Management tools (IBM Doors or similar).
