Squarespace is in search of an Employee Relations & Policy Manager (US) to join our People team. Focus areas include: building and owning end-to-end Employee Relations strategy and execution, owning the continuous improvement of employee relations process and tools, and working with the broader people team to manage the HR policy inventory, including by assisting in the development, socialization and management of HR policies and programs. You will also work with cross-functional partners on projects to cultivate our unique culture and scale our workplace practices.You will report to our Head of HR Business Partners and can be based in our New York City office or Chicago office.You'll Get To…Assess, develop, and deploy a vision and roadmap to support effective employee relations across the business.Define and/or refine stakeholder engagement models to educate and improve risk mitigation frameworks around escalation standards, ongoing training, and feedback loop processes.Conduct prompt, thorough and objective workplace investigations, partnering with Employment Counsel and HR Business Partner team as appropriate, to ensure and effective resolution of internal concerns.Assess and maintain case management system and make practical recommendations to support and improve employee engagement in light of internal and external trends; help develop proactive HR strategies, solutions, programs, and policies.Design, deliver and maintain internal training pertaining to HR policies, procedures, and related topics in line with applicable compliance frameworks, business and legal requirements.Partner with HR Business Partners, Legal, Security, Internal Controls, and People Ops to create a centralized HR policy management program, including maintenance of HR policies and associated documents, synchronizing HR policies and practices with regulatory requirements / controls, and tracking approval requirements.Support ad hoc strategic projects with Legal, as needed.Who We're Looking For6+ years of Employee Relations or HRBP experience conducting investigationsHR leadership experience managing a broad range of complex workplace issues across multiple business lines and stakeholders at all levelsDeep knowledge of workplace best practices, applicable federal, state and local laws (e.g., FMLA, ADA, EEO laws), and risk mitigation strategiesSignificant experience as a trusted cross-functional partner, handling sensitive information in a confidential mannerExperience driving large-scale projects and cross-functional alignment, simplifying complex issues, and designing and operationalizing scalable, practical solutionsTravel as needed for meetings, team events, and in-person work with client groupsPrior HR/ER experience in a technology startup.Benefits & PerksA choice between medical plans with an option for 100% covered premiumsFertility and adoption benefitsAccess to supplemental insurance plans for additional coverageHeadspace mindfulness app subscriptionRetirement benefits with employer matchFlexible paid time offUp to 20 weeks of paid family leaveEquity plan for all employeesPretax commuter benefitEducation reimbursementEmployee donation match to community organizations6 Global Employee Resource Groups (ERGs)Dog-friendly workplaceFree lunch and snacksPrivate rooftopCash Compensation Range: $97,000 – $170,200 USDThe base salary for this position will vary based on job-related criteria including relevant skills, experience, and location, among other factors.In addition to the cash compensation above (which includes base salary and, where applicable for eligible roles, may include on-target commissions or overtime pay), all Squarespace employees are eligible to receive equity in the company as part of their total compensation.About SquarespaceSquarespace (NYSE: SQSP) is a design-driven platform helping entrepreneurs build brands and businesses online.
