Offer Description 1. By Dispatch ESE/P-PR-024/2024, June 21 of 2024, the President of the School of Education of the Porto Polytechnic Institute announces the recruitment of an Assistant Professor for the Technical-Scientific Area of Education, focusing on Social Analysis of Education, Leisure and Free Time.
2. Period of validity: This tender is aimed at filling the vacant position and will expire when filled or if there are insufficient candidates.
3. Workplace: School of Education of Porto Polytechnic Institute, Rua Dr. Roberto Frias, No. 602, 4200-465 Porto.
4. Number of jobs to be filled: 1 (one).
5. Cumulative admission requirements:
Have the requirements outlined in paragraphs b) to e) of Article 17 of the General Law on Work in Public Functions, approved by Law No. 35-A/2014, of June 20.
Hold a doctoral degree or the title of specialist in the relevant scientific or disciplinary areas.
Provide proof of recognition, equivalence or registration of the doctoral degree if obtained abroad.
Fulfil the requirements stated in the Career Statute for Teaching Staff in Higher Polytechnic Education.

8. Selection and ranking criteria: The selection criteria include Pedagogical Activity, Technical-scientific Activity, and Organizational Activity, with specified weights for each category.
9. Evaluation and Selection: The jury will evaluate candidates based on the approved criteria, and the deliberations will be made by majority vote.
10. Jury composition: The jury will consist of appointed professors from the School of Education of the Polytechnic Institute of Porto.
