Job Description Develop and implement comprehensive FinOps strategies across Azure and Google Cloud platforms to maximize cloud investment and minimize waste; Collaborate with IT, engineering, and finance departments to align cloud usage and costs with financial goals and business objectives; Conduct detailed financial analysis and cost modeling to forecast cloud spend and identify cost-saving opportunities; Establish and enforce cloud budgeting and cost allocation models to ensure transparency and accountability in cloud spending; Utilize automation tools to streamline cost reporting and implement governance policies to control cloud expenses; Monitor and report on cloud expenditures, providing insights and recommendations to senior management; Lead the negotiation of cloud contracts and manage vendor relationships to secure the best possible terms and pricing; Stay updated with the latest trends and best practices in cloud pricing and FinOps strategies; Educate and train teams on cost-effective cloud usage practices; Lead and mentor junior FinOps team members.
Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Finance, IT, or a related field (Master's degree is preferred); At least 3 years of experience in a FinOps, Cloud Economics, or a similar role with a focus on Azure and Google Cloud platforms; Strong analytical and financial modeling skills with a proven ability to apply data analysis in real-world applications; Deep understanding of cloud billing, cost management tools, and cloud management platforms specific to Azure and Google Cloud; Experience with cloud automation and governance tools; Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills; Certified in relevant cloud technologies; Azure Cost Management and Google Cloud Financial Management certifications are a plus; FinOps Foundation Certifications are valued; Desired Skills: Strategic thinking with the ability to translate quantitative data into actionable recommendations; Strong project management skills and the ability to lead cross-functional initiatives; Proactive problem-solving attitude and the ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
