Job Description Build the connection between Finance and Technology, the FinOps Engineer should be able to explain cloud technology to finance and management personas, and finance to engineers; Promote FinOps culture across the company; Enable cost visibility: tagging and reporting; Identify, recommend, and follow up on cost optimization opportunities; Analyze, optimize, and implement cost optimization actions over different cloud services; Build and maintain relationships with customers and stakeholders.
Interact with engineers, executives, productions managers, and finances teams; Take ownership of FinOps cost tools and develop capacity reservation policies Support budget processes; Work on technical solutions to support FinOps; Advise on cost-effective architectures.
Qualifications Already a FinOps practitioner, a Finance person with a tech interest, or a Cloud/DevOps Engineer wanting to take the next step; You have a solid understanding of cloud services (network, storage, compute, …) and software development concepts; Possess 3+ years of experience in Cloud Cost Management, FinOps; Multi-year experience with Azure, AWS, and GCP (at least 2); Knowledge of the FinOps Framework from FinOps Foundation ( finops.org ); Willing to be FinOps certified; Passionate and comfortable handling FinOps discussions at the technical, business, or financial level; Possess Foundational Cloud services knowledge; Strong interpersonal skills /collaboration skills – to ensure progress is made; Good written documentation and communication skills; Good level of English.
Nice to have: Previous experience with FinOps; FinOps Practitioner certification; Certification on one or more cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure); such as AWS Cloud Practitioner, Azure Fundamentals, GCP Foundational; Experience in an Agile environment; Experience with chargeback modeling, cost savings and avoidance tracking, and forecasting; Two or more (2+) years of experience with cost optimization; Additional Information The Devoteam Group works for equal opportunities, promoting its employees based on merit and actively fights against all forms of discrimination.
