Job Description We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Data Migration Lead to oversee and execute the data migration, transition, and go-live testing processes for our client' projects.
The successful candidate will ensure that all data migration activities are conducted in accordance with the approved test plan and schedule, ensuring a seamless transition from any legacy back-office to our client' deployments.
Formal Data Migration and Transition: Conduct formal data migration, transition, and go-live testing at a given client instance.
Ensure all activities conform to the approved test plan and schedule.
Determine the functional and technical performance of data migration processes and tools.
Gain approval to begin migration of production data and transition to the new system.
Testing and Validation: Perform testing of the exact procedures and tools used for data migration from existing legacy systems to the MoveBeyond System.
Validate the accuracy and completeness of data migration processes.
Data Transfer: Transfer historical and summary data to the new system as per the approved data migration and transition plan.
Ensure that transferred data remains intact and accessible within the new system.
Review and Approval: Review the data migration and transition checklist to ensure all processes and plans are completed and approved.
Collaborate with stakeholders, internal and external, to gain necessary approvals for data migration and transition activities.
Qualifications Proven experience in leading data migration projects, preferably within large-scale enterprise environments; Strong understanding of data migration processes, tools, and best practices; Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail; Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders; Strong communication and organizational skills; Relevant certifications in data management or project management (e.g., PMP, ITIL) are a plus; Experience with data migration tools and software; Knowledge of database management systems and data warehousing.
