Job Description The Lakhani Group is a leading hotel development and construction company.
We are looking for an experienced Director of Procurement & Purchasing Manager to oversee our purchasing department in Portugal and China.
This role is crucial for managing our supply chain, ensuring the timely acquisition of high-quality construction materials.
Develop and implement procurement strategies to optimize purchasing processes in both Portugal and China.
Manage and oversee all procurement activities, ensuring compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
Conduct market research and analysis to identify potential suppliers, evaluate their capabilities, and establish long-term partnerships.
Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers to ensure competitive pricing and quality materials.
Monitor and manage inventory levels to ensure that materials are available as needed while minimizing excess stock.
Collaborate with logistics and supply chain teams to streamline the flow of materials and improve delivery timelines.
Ensure that procurement practices align with sustainability goals and corporate social responsibility standards.
Analyze procurement data and prepare reports for senior management on purchasing trends, savings achieved, and supplier performance.
Stay updated on market trends, industry developments, and changes in regulations that may impact procurement activities.
Requisitos Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management, preferably in the construction industry.
Strong understanding of logistics, procurement processes, and supply chain management best practices.
Experience in purchasing construction materials is essential.
Fluent in English; proficiency in Mandarin is a plus.
Knowledge of the Chinese market and experience working with Chinese suppliers is highly desirable.
Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on data-driven decision-making.
Ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment and manage relationships with stakeholders across different regions.
