At their office in Zeist, a new position has arisen for a Direct Tax Compliance Specialist. He/she will be part of the Global Business Services organization and will report to the Direct Tax Reporting Manager located in Lisbon, Portugal. This role is responsible for performing direct tax and transfer pricing-related compliance activities and services with a specific focus on executing accurate and timely tax reporting and payments for all direct tax returns for the applicable legal entities. The role will work mainly for legal entities in The Netherlands and Belgium. Also optimizing the tax control framework and becoming part of the 'Horizontal Monitoring' program of the Dutch Tax authorities are part of the responsibilities.
More specifically, the tasks and responsibilities will include:
Responsible to prepare, validate and submit all direct tax reporting filings/reporting and requirements for the applicable legal entities, including maintaining direct tax records and information;
Responsible to prepare direct tax internal Reporting pack to the Group in Sweden;
Manages tax payments and refunds, as well as manages and reconciles the direct tax accounts;
Supports the direct tax business partner and other stakeholders with input and requested information/data, including participation in tax audits and relevant projects;
First line of contact for questions related to direct tax sent via e.g. tickets or raised by internal teams, or from Tax Authorities related to direct tax reporting, escalate to direct tax reporting manager and direct tax business partner if required;
Carry out relevant tax trainings for e.g. AP, Accounting, in cooperation with the direct tax reporting manager and direct tax business partner. Carry out relevant KICs (Key Internal Controls) and secure relevant processes/instructions/guidelines/etc. are followed and give input in case of identified need for improvement;
Involved in projects related to implementation of solutions to fulfill direct tax and transfer pricing requirements in SAP and other relevant tools, as well as other projects where input and knowledge from the direct tax reporting team is needed.

Furthermore, you have:
University degree in tax/economics/business or equivalent with relevant practice;
Minimum 5+ years of relevant working experience within direct tax and knowledge in direct tax reporting (preferably Netherlands and Belgium);
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team;
Knowledge of SAP, Microsoft Office and experience with financial reporting systems are considered a plus;
Strong English language skills (French language skills will be a plus);
Ability to travel when circumstances allow.
