The volume of business is rising rapidly, and career opportunities are excellent should individuals demonstrate the skills and success in their roles.The development plan for Hiscox Spain is very ambitious for the next few years and it is expected that the team will grow at the same pace as the business.The roleThe Digital Product Owner is a business representative with a strong delivery background, empowered to shape and direct the development of our products/services in a way that maximises business value. Is also responsible for Value Stream outcomes, prioritising the work of the team and accepting the solution. The Product Owner will act on our digital channels through several products such as Broker, Client and Direct Portals.Key ResponsibilitiesManage a team of 3 Business AnalystsWork in collaboration with the Digital Value Stream Sponsor and Business Analysts to define Epics, MVPs and user storiesOwn the user experience and product direction for their platform/applicationAct as the primary business representative to Value Stream(s) to connect business and technologyBe empowered to make on-the-spot decisions on scope and requirementsBe responsible for the product backlog, story prioritisation and acceptance criteriaWork with Solution Architects, Developers and Business Analysts to plan sprintsHave a thorough understanding of digital processes and be able to identify areas for process improvementSupport process streamlining and standardizationBuild strong productive customer-focused relationships with the Business, the Squad and third partiesBe an independent thinker, and a key contributor in supporting the project management towards successful delivery of projectsHold requirements gathering sessions, capture meeting minutes, follow up on action items, report backlog status, and own product documentationManage scope creep and clearly communicate with stakeholders on feasibility and effort analysisReview test cases and test plans from the System Test team, negotiate testing scope and timelines, review test scripts, review defects raisedDrive the UAT with the business users, which includes performing some parts of the UAT, providing test scenarios and training to the business users, reviewing defects raisedMaintain risks and issues logs and actively manage the mitigation strategiesPerson SpecificationThis role will suit you if you are comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and enjoy delivering enhancements or solutions that drive real business benefit on our digital channels.
