MC Program: VML Marketing Coordinator Program is a large global community of approx. 400 employees sitting at the intersection of Microsoft Marketing and agencies teams.
We coordinate campaigns across Microsoft internal stakeholders, VML global Service Delivery Hub teams, and third-party agencies. Campaigns generate sales leads Microsoft then scores and processes according to their sales strategy.
Events is an expertise group within the MC Program responsible for coordinating and executing a variety of Microsoft's global and local digital events.
Purpose of the job: Marketing Coordinator Events plans and executes Microsoft's digital events. In this role, MC Events acts primarily as project manager who coordinates internal VML resources, Microsoft stakeholders, and third-party vendors.

Events Consultation & PlanningParticipate in events planning & schedulingProvide support on different types of events in line with Microsoft corporate guidelinesProvide consultation on Event Platforms (ON24, Teams) & internal event management tools to internal and external stakeholdersConsult Microsoft stakeholders on situations that require additional reviews and approvals2. Events PreparationAct as Project Manager with full responsibility for making events successfully happenCoordinate all parties involved in an event – VML and Microsoft stakeholders and third partiesManage event participants' agendaManage event assets, e.g., videos and presentations3. Events Execution & Post-Events ActivitiesExecute events from start to finish in line with guidelines and proceduresProvide chat moderation supportManage post-event participants' agendaProvide reporting and insights from the event4. Stakeholder ManagementEducate internal and external stakeholders on the MC Program Events agenda and topicsAct as advisor on tools used for events planning and executionShare best practices and success stories, engage in knowledge sharing and continuous improvement of our servicesRequired skills & competencies: Ideally 4+ years' experience in execution of any marketing-related initiatives, incl. 1-2+ years' experience in events management, project or account management roleExperience in managing projects and campaigns of growing complexityExperience in cooperation with a variety of stakeholders on client and agency side; Exposure to senior client stakeholdersHigh level of compliance with company rules & processes, e.g., personal data protection or brand guidelinesProven project management skills & experience, readiness to assume responsibility for own KPIs, track activities progress and meet critical deadlinesSolid skills in Microsoft tools and software: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, TeamsSolid command skills and ability to share often complex information in a structured wayAbility to simultaneously manage multiple events and activities, and ability to prioritize urgent and important tasksA strong team player with ability to establish working relations with culturally diverse internal and external partnersStrong problem-solving skills and orientation to detailFluent English is essential (requirement for additional language skills may apply)Native speaker of either German OR French OR Italian OR SpanishPlease note that this Job is based in Lisbon!
