What you`ll do: With the newly founded unit of SAP Sovereign Cloud, we are defining the future of sovereign cloud infrastructure for public sector and regulated industries – with unparalleled security, flexibility, and scale.

As a DevOps Engineer, you play a vital role in the Product Enablement team within SAP Sovereign Cloud.
Your contributions to Sovereign Cloud will be pivotal in automating, scaling, and maintaining our cloud operations at an exemplary level.
Y ou will be responsible not only for orchestrating containerized applications using Kubernetes but also for supporting regional Sovereign Cloud teams.
This will involve demonstrating deployment techniques, assisting in troubleshooting, and providing guidance on updates and best practices .
Your key responsibilities include: Assist in the b uild ing out and manag ing deployment environments for net-new SAP products in the SAP Sovereign Cloud portfolio.
Implement infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like Terraform or Ansible .
Develop and maintain automated deployment scripts and pipelines using CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.
Support the automation of build, test, and deployment processes to improve efficiency and reliability – including t roubleshoot ing issues in the deployment pipelines.
Ensure consistency and version control of configuration files and deployment scripts.
Implement tools like Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana), or Splunk for monitoring and logging – including m onitor ing system performance and assist ing in identifying and resolving performance bottlenecks.
Support performance tuning and optimization efforts for SAP products.
Work closely with development, QA, and operations teams to support the integration and deployment of SAP products.
Create and maintain documentation for deployment processes, configurations, and infrastructure.
Proactively s eek mentorship and guidance from senior engineers to enhance professional development.
What you bring: To become highly successful, you have the following expertise: Profound experience with DevOps Experience with Python, Go, and/or Bash Experience in setting up, managing, and optimizing CI/CD pipelines Your work experience is as follows: Bachelor's degree in computer science or other relevant fields A minimum of 3 years in professional software development A minimum of 2 years of experience with DevOps With your quality-aware mindset, you are able to proactively forge the path forward, innovatively solve any technical challenges, and strongly collaborate with other team members across the whole organization.
You are fluent in English – both verbal and written.
Due to the potentially classified nature of our work, your willingness is required to subject yourself to a governmental security clearance process.
