We are now looking for a full-time DevOps Engineer in the REST API Team in the Shared Services department at our Helsinki or Lisbon office, to strengthen our expertise in platform and application development. The REST API Team is building a mission-critical REST API, based on Go, as the next-generation integration point between our customers and RELEX core services. Our SLAs are strict, data amounts massive, and we must guarantee data validity and timely delivery. Our services are hosted in public cloud on top of Kubernetes, but we are delivering data to various downstream applications in hybrid cloud infrastructure via Apache Kafka. To enable fast delivery and repeatability, the team is maintaining infrastructure using Terraform principles and automating build and deployment pipelines in GitLab. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing our solution by applying changes to our infrastructure as code and automating processes and tools.
What you will be doing: Implementing changes to our Infrastructure-as-Code and CI/CD pipelines.Writing services that further process the data.Removing toil by automating processes and tools.Working with different teams from different locations.Sharing your knowledge and learning new technologies/languages.Minimum Requirements: A few years of hands-on experience in either DevOps, SRE work, or software development, especially continuous delivery tools and practices.Understanding of automation through languages and tools (i.e., PowerShell, Bash, Terraform).Understanding of Infrastructure as Code; practical experience with Kubernetes and containers is a plus.Interest in developing yourself, sharing knowledge with others, and willingness to work as part of a team.Excellent communication skills in English.What we consider as an advantage: Knowledge of Web services, REST API.Experience in Cloud Infrastructure, preferably Azure.Experience on messaging infrastructure such as Apache Kafka.Experience in Monitoring (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog).RELEX Portugal RELEXians can be found around the world, but here we're based out of our brand new central office in Lisbon, where we act as a true extension of the Finnish team.
