Development Engineer Internship

Allient Inc. is currently seeking a Development Engineer Intern to join our Porto, Portugal team! This role will work directly with our Development Engineering and Advanced Product Purchasing team, based in Vila do Conde to interface with the research and development centers located in the United States, the Netherlands, Germany, and Sweden. Apply now! Responsibilities: Develop and design electric motors, involving electromagnetic, mechanical, and thermal design. Develop design studies for new and existing products, according to market and customer requirements. Standardize key features in design and/or processes and incorporate them in the development. Review detailed design drawing activities internally and with external suppliers. Validate initial motor samples and/or product changes, through document management and execution of experimental tests. Participate in analysis, cost development of the components and permanent cost reduction activities. Research and Development of product and process, in collaboration with the company's technological centers. Qualifications: Master's in mechanical engineering or similar. CAD/CAE (PTC Creo, SolidWorks, Inventor) Excellent knowledge of Spoken and Written English.
