Our team is driving the Siemens Energy Digital Transformation, a global initiative to enhance the efficiency of Siemens Energy Procurement. We are looking for a motivated and experienced Data Scientist to join our team and contribute to our digitalization projects. In this role, you will be pivotal in optimizing processes through sophisticated Machine Learning and Generative AI techniques. How You'll Make an Impact Foster relationships with internal customers at all levels to ensure the successful development and implementation of Machine Learning use cases. Collaborate with multi-functional teams to identify business problems and translate them into data science opportunities. Convert client requirements into machine learning applications, iteratively refining them with partners to meet business needs. Apply DevOps/MLOps principles to ensure continuous integration, deployment, and operational efficiency. Being at the forefront of designing, developing and operationalizing RAG systems ("RAGOps"). Introduce new ML technologies within Procurement to enhance cost efficiency and service delivery performance. Contribute to the organization's MLOps strategy by incorporating automated training, testing, and monitoring of traditional ML models and RAG systems. What You Bring Master's degree (or higher) in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Engineering, or a related field with a solid focus on Data Science and Machine Learning. Proven experience of at least 3 years in Data Science or Machine Learning roles. Strong proficiency in programming languages, specifically Python and SQL, for thorough data analysis, effective model development, and seamless deployment. Experience with Generative AI use cases, including working with LLMs, Embedding Models, and RAG systems. Experience in building Data Analytics Web Apps using frameworks like Streamlit, Django, or Flask to share ML prototypes with internal customers. Solid understanding of DevOps/MLOps principles and tools for operationalizing machine learning models, including Git, Docker, and AWS. Hands-on experience with various ML techniques such as Regression, Classification, Clustering, and more. Superb communication skills in English, with the ability to collaborate effectively with partners across various functions and global locations.
