Job Title: Data Scientist Location: Lisbon - Hybrid Salary: €60,000 - €65,000 We are seeking a skilled Data Scientist / Machine Learning Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Python, data types, and basic algorithms, with expertise in memory management, data manipulation using Pandas and Numpy, and scientific computing with Scipy. Additionally, a solid understanding of probability theory, time series analysis, classical machine learning algorithms, and deep learning is essential. Key Responsibilities: Data Manipulation and Analysis: Utilize Pandas, Numpy, and Scipy for efficient data manipulation and analysis. Implement and optimize basic algorithms with a focus on memory management. Probability and Statistics: Apply probability theory concepts including probability density, cumulative distribution function, normal distribution, and quantiles. Conduct time series analysis, focusing on autocorrelations, stationarity, and statistical criteria for time series. Machine Learning: Develop and implement forecasting algorithms and evaluate their performance using relevant metrics. Apply classical machine learning algorithms including decision trees, gradient boosting, and xgboost. Design, train, evaluate, and deploy deep learning models using Pytorch. System Design and Deployment: Ensure effective model monitoring and horizontal scaling. Address system design topics to optimize model deployment and performance. Requirements: Technical Skills: Proficient in Python, with a deep understanding of data types, basic algorithms, and memory management. Experience with data manipulation and analysis using Pandas, Numpy, and Scipy. Strong knowledge of probability theory and its applications in data science. Expertise in time series analysis and forecasting. Proficient in classical machine learning algorithms and boosting techniques. Experienced in deep learning with a focus on neural networks and Pytorch. Additional Skills: Ability to train, evaluate, and deploy machine learning models. Strong understanding of model monitoring and horizontal scaling. Familiarity with system design concepts related to data science and machine learning.
