BUT FIRST!...
You will be enrolling in the 6-week program by joining CTW's Data Academy starting on the 20th of January . Training will be fully in-person for the first two months , and after its completion, our hybrid model of three days per week in the office will apply.
In this Academy, you will go through a series of practical modules lectured by our experienced technologists covering the essential steps to build an end-to-end data product in BMW.
You will create meaningful data solutions that will support the creation of new business values. To achieve this mission, you will always be curious and enthusiastic about using advanced architecture and technologies to solve problems and inspire others to see the benefits.
Whatever you're working on, here's the lowdown on the skills that will grant you a boost in our selection: Don't worry, we're not looking for a know-it-all, but having at least a couple of these skills will significantly increase your match with our selection criteria.
Academic background in IT and/or experience in other areas of Software Engineering (mandatory);
Basic knowledge of public cloud platforms, especially AWS;
Basic understanding of IaC tools, such as Terraform;
Ability to code in at least one programming language (Python preferred);
Basic understanding of a querying language such as SQL;
Basic understanding of Data Bases and Data Modeling;
Some familiarity with tools in the Big Data ecosystem (like Hadoop, Cassandra, Apache Hive, Apache Spark, and others alike).
Anything else? Apart from a basic understanding of Software Engineering, a passion for Data and the ability to use a programming language, we are looking for someone who:
Brings skills that foster a supportive environment, constructive feedback and idea-sharing;
Has excellent oral communication and writing skills (English);
Has basic experience with agile methodologies, particularly Scrum;
