We are, above all, a Data Analytics platform, enabling our clients - financial institutions such as Investment Banks, Hedge Funds, Brokerage Firms, and Asset Management Firms - to gain deeper insights into their data and comply with financial regulations.
Our Data Integration team plays a vital role in this mission. As a team of Python developers, we are responsible for designing and managing all data ingestion solutions, whether related to MiFID, MiFIR, or communications. When SteelEye receives data, it is our team that transforms it to align with both our clients' needs and our database structures.
We are currently looking for a Data Integration Engineer to join our talented group of engineers at our Braga office.
Primary Responsibilities Include: Writing, maintaining, and expanding code
Transforming data to meet customer requirements
Contributing to creative specifications and planning detailed schemas for exporting to ElasticSearch
Collaborating with cross-functional teams in Engineering and Product to ensure we meet client needs

Key skills and experience: Ability to prioritise your own workload and work independently from Day 1
Strong Python coding skills and ability to quickly grasp RegTech concepts
Bachelor's degree in Computing or equivalent experience
No prior experience in FinTech/RegTech required, but an interest in learning the industry is essential

Python Libraries
AWS and Cloud Storage
Pandas and NumPy
Kubernetes and Docker
Elasticsearch
Natural Language Processing
Good technical knowledge and exposure to an end-to-end tech stack
Inquisitive mindset with a proactive approach to problem solving and issue resolution
