Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Data Engineer with expertise in Talend, particularly focused on Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) integration and related technologies. The ideal candidate will design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and integration workflows across our enterprise systems. As a Talend expert, you will play a critical role in managing data movement and transformation within our ESB infrastructure, ensuring data is seamlessly and securely transmitted across applications, databases, and services.

Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain data integration workflows using Talend, especially with a focus on Talend's ESB capabilities.
Implement and optimize data pipelines to ensure high performance, scalability, and data integrity across different systems.
Utilize Talend components for ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to streamline and automate data flows.
Develop, deploy, and manage ESB processes and APIs to enable smooth data exchange across applications and systems.
Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize ESB workflows, identifying and addressing performance bottlenecks and integration issues.
Requirements for the role
3+ years of experience as a Data Engineer, with a strong focus on Talend (especially Talend ESB) and ESB or middleware solutions.
Proven experience with Talend Open Studio, Talend Data Integration, and Talend ESB components.
Strong knowledge of ESB (Enterprise Service Bus) technologies and principles.
Proficiency with ETL processes and data warehousing concepts.
Solid understanding of RESTful APIs, SOAP, and other integration standards.
Familiarity with databases such as SQL Server, Oracle, and NoSQL solutions (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra).
Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) is a plus.
Knowledge of data governance and data quality practices.
Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive and detail-oriented mindset.
Strong communication skills to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Ability to work effectively in both individual and team settings.
Fluent in English .
Must be a Portuguese or European citizen or have a work permit for Portugal .
Preferred Qualifications:
Certification in Talend or ESB-related technologies.
Experience with other integration tools (MuleSoft, Apache Camel, etc.).
Knowledge of DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines for data integration workflows.
