As a part of Vestas Technology & Operations, the Modelling & Analytics, Plant Data team is responsible for the creation and management of products and services related to Vestas Plant Data Offerings.
Our accomplished and diverse team of Data Engineers is focused on designing products that facilitate data collection, processing and storage from thousands of power plants across the world.
The team also supports data storage and conducts data analytics on a hybrid data platform setup that supports multiple data applications for our customers.
Our overarching mission is to reduce the cost of energy by harnessing the extensive data collected and stored by Vestas from power plants worldwide.

Responsibilities Perform upstream and downstream impact analysis of complex data flows which involved multiple source systems.Contribute actively to design and delivery of migrating data products from legacy to cloud setup.Facilitate key POC's & mentor team data engineers on technical solutions.Facilitate and contribute to formal Code & design reviews.Oversight and contribution to managing operational data products (Level 3 Support).Working with Architects, SME's, business and product stakeholders in identifying data products and workloads in legacy warehouse.Participate and co-own product architecture and drive strategic roadmap for plant data warehouse.Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Software engineering or related fields are preferences.+6 years of experience in on-prem & cloud data warehousing domain.Formidable command on advanced SQL & ELT design patterns & data flow/ workload performance optimization.We envision that you possess experience in designing, building, and maintaining data products within hybrid environments.
Additionally, you should identify with at least one of the following qualifications:
Experience in data workload migration from on-prem to cloud ETL + Data Warehouse.Experience in Azure services + Snowflake.Experience in DBT would be an added advantage.Extensive hands-on data modelling experience in cloud data warehouse and data structures.Experience with SQL server, SSIS & SSAS would be a positive factor.Familiarity with agile development methodologies and DevOps practices.Experience with data mesh implementation.Python, Py-Spark, Databricks would be a bonus.On individual capacity, we anticipate that you: Possess a collaborative and open-minded nature, eager to contribute to a globally diverse cross-functional team within the organization.Display curiosity and enthusiasm for developing innovative data products that generate value.Thrive in diverse environments and exhibit flexibility in adapting to evolving conditions.Exhibit good communication skills, coupled with a practical, problem-solving approach to accomplishing tasks.Embrace a commitment to continuous learning and a desire to contribute to the collective growth of the team.What We Offer An aspirational position that lets you work on the key data areas in Vestas and be part of projects that redefine the Vestas data landscape.
