Your mission will be… As a Data Engineer at Siemens, you will be a key member of our growing data engineering team, contributing to the design, development, and maintenance of the reliable and scalable data infrastructure that powers our data-driven initiatives. Reporting to the Data leadership, you will collaborate closely with data analysts, data scientists, and business stakeholders to ensure the seamless flow of data across the organization.In this role, you will be responsible for developing, managing, and monitoring data pipelines to ensure a trusted and scalable data integration service for our customers. You will also contribute to the design and management of a comprehensive portfolio of integration platforms, helping to drive Siemens towards becoming a data-driven company.We are looking for someone with… Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Data Science, or a related technical field.Excellent command of English.3+ years of experience as a data engineer or in a similar data-focused role.Proficient in designing and implementing data pipelines using tools like Apache Spark, Airflow, Kafka, or similar.Hands-on experience with cloud-based data platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.Proficiency in Python, SQL, Scala, or other data engineering programming languages.Familiarity with data engineering best practices, including data versioning, testing, and monitoring.Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to work independently.Good communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.Experience with agile software development methodologies.What you can expect from us… A hybrid and flexible working model to promote a better work-life balance, along with a budget for home office support and the opportunity to do 16 hours a year of volunteer work.
