The Role
As a Data Engineer for IWG you will:
Contribute to the development of the data strategy and roadmap
Produce and develop integrated end-to-end data solutions
Complete assessments to ensure compliance with data protection legislation (ie. GDPR)
Advise and support on all aspects of data governance
Document models and diagrams for development teams, architecture review board, and technical leadership
Be responsible for the development and production support of data integration, automation, and defining pipeline for data integrations
Explore and research new technologies and perform POCs as needed
Work as part of a wider team of data-oriented professionals that reports to the Director of Architecture.
What you'll need to succeed
You have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent, a Master's degree in information management or equivalent degree and/or experience would be desired. You have at least 2 years of successful experience working in a data engineering role.
Qualifications / Skills / Experience
Proven experience with Python and SQL
Extensive experience using ETL tools
Experience with the Azure ecosystem, including Azure Data Factory and Azure Data Lake
Experience with Databricks
Knowledge of other data and BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau or QlikView
Fluent in both written and spoken English
