Thales, a global leader in aerospace, defense, and security solutions, seeks a passionate and talented Cyber Security System Engineer to join our Naval Engineering Center (NEC). In this critical role, you will play a pivotal role in defining and integrating combat system solutions, ensuring operational advantage for our armed forces customers. You will work collaboratively in a dynamic, international environment, tackling technically-demanding projects that push the boundaries of innovation.
Key Responsibilities:
Define and code sign architecture on your own or with other specialists.
Analyse security requirements and program constraints.
Develop high level security compliant architecture and contribute to the design of the preliminary and detailed designs of the solution. This includes the study of alternatives and a risk assessment.
Be technical lead of the elaboration of the security components architectures (e.g., SIEM, IAM, gateways, detection and deception capabilities).
Guarantee the architecture coherency with the BL policy as well as major cybersecurity standards and regulation frameworks (NIST, ISO, etc.).
Produce justification for architecture bricks choices.
You are proficient with Infrastructure Security Design, Security Supervision Design, and Information Systems Security (ISS).
Advise and give support to the rest of the team.
You know how to use: Risk Analysis, Network Security, Cryptography, Identity & Access Management (software/hardware development, the NIST Cybersecurity Framework, cloud technologies).
Monitor and measure risk as well as compliance.
Work with customers and technical teams.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electronics, Aeronautical/Space, Computer Science) or a relevant technical field.
Proven experience in Software/Hardware development, Systems Engineering, and Integration & Verification, Validation & Qualification (IVVQ) activities.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a demonstrated ability to tackle complex technical challenges.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative work ethic.
