Our software enables all shareholders to participate in core decisions and increase the Corporate Governance of their portfolio companies. Sherpany is currently located in Zurich, Switzerland and Lisbon, Portugal. We are looking for an effective coach and leader for our team in Lisbon who will be a strong member of our executive board. Your role is to assure the successful execution of Sherpany's business mission through the development and deployment of our SaaS applications. This requires envisioning the company's service offerings as a web-based business, leading the implementation of web applications, and planning for risk and growth. Responsibilities In partnership with the company's founders, identify opportunities and risks for delivering the company's services as a web-based business. This includes identification of competitive services, opportunities for innovation, and assessment of marketplace obstacles and technical hurdles to business success. Lead strategic planning to achieve business goals by identifying and prioritizing development initiatives and setting timetables for the evaluation, development, and deployment of all web-based services. Implementation & Deployment Select or define the company's software development methodology. Establish and supervise the software development process, setting short-term objectives and assessing progress as defined by the selected software development methodology. Establish and supervise a quality assurance process, including integration and system testing. Supervise recruitment, training, retention, and organization of all development staff in accordance with the company's hiring process, personnel policies, and budget requirements. Operational Management Define and communicate company values and standards for acquiring or developing systems, equipment, or software within the company. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of technology standards, industry trends, emerging technologies, and software development best practices by attending relevant conferences and reading widely (including reading your peers' blogs). Position Requirements University degree in the field of computer science, business administration, or another comparable discipline. An advanced degree in one of these fields is a plus.
