Credit And Treasury Controller

Our client, a leading US pharmaceutical group, is looking to hire an experienced Credit and Treasury Controller to oversee the financial AR affairs in Portugal and Spain.Candidates must be trilingual in English, Portuguese, and Spanish. The role can be based remotely in the EU or the UK.In this role, you will be responsible for managing the protection of company funds, preparing financial reports, and implementing and supervising the factoring processes.To ensure success as a Senior Credit and Treasury Controller, you should have a good understanding of factoring, excellent communication skills, and a strong ability to manage and report the financial activities of the business by preparing treasury reports, analytical documents, and financial reporting.POSITION SUMMARY:Responsible for credit collection of entities in Iberia with additional back-up cover for the rest of the AR team as required.Responsible for meeting targets in monthly receivables and keeping bad debt to a minimum.Responsible for maintaining invoices reconciliations and bank allocations.Main back-up with working capital management, cash flow forecasts, and daily updates.Where appropriate, responsible for factoring by ensuring appropriate invoices are identified to be sold, with particular emphasis on reducing risk and returns.To oversee the design and implementation of new finance projects or new system processes when required by management.Supervisory backup for management when required.RESPONSIBILITIES:Make collections calls on past due customer accounts.Monitor DSO and A/R aging by customer.Assess the creditworthiness of potential and existing customers, including determining credit limits and payment terms as required by management.Build partnerships with the rest of the Finance team and with other departments (Customer Service, Sales Team).Prepare and report on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis, including month and quarter-end reports.PROFILE REQUIRED:Significant experience in credit collection and AR accounting.Sound experience in a SAP environment.Significant experience in supervising.High level of experience in negotiating with senior members.Experience in implementing and running factoring.High level of Excel skills.Fluency in English, Spanish, and Portuguese required.Salary: Depending on experience and local market.Please send your CV.
