country data protection compliance of Spain and Portugal, providing advice and guidance to the business from a data protection perspective, for each of the countries legal entities.If you are looking for the next step in your professional career, this is the opportunity to gain the technical and soft skills you are looking for.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist with the risk mitigation, monitoring and management of personal data processing operations in line with TMF Group privacy policies, procedures and guidelines;Develop and present employee training and supporting material to local office staff;Assist with the execution of the data protection auditing programme, and general monitoring of effectiveness of data protection strategy in coordination with business functions, the Group Privacy Office and other stakeholders;Act as point person and/or subject matter expert for audits initiated by local office clients or the local Data Protection Supervisory Authority and prepare relevant responses to inquiries from the other relevant supervisory authority or any other legal or regulatory bodies;Responsible for coordinating data protection compliance matters with the Group Privacy Office aligned to TMF Group's data protection strategy and provide support to the Group Privacy Office other stakeholders in the exercise of their duties;Overall responsibility for the legal entities in a country in investigating data breaches, security incidents, data subject requests -from data protection compliance perspective- and ensuring relevant issues are handed in a timely, compliant manner;Provide guidance and advice on ad hoc data protection compliance matters and manage and track data privacy issues raised by the business through closure;Support in negotiating and executing local data processing agreements and standard contractual clauses as appropriate and consistent with the TMF Group data protection strategy and contracting guidelines from the Group Legal – Client Contracting Team and Group Privacy Office;Support data subjects requests responses through initial analysis and providing guidance for responses and collection of requested information;Responsible for co-ordinating, maintaining, monitoring and updating the registration of data processing activities (RoPA) in alignment with the business process owners;Drive completion of data protection impact assessments and coordinate advice and input from various stakeholders as required;Lead, promote and advocate data protection compliance following TMF Group's GDPR programme for the benefit of the local offices legal entities;General assistance and support to governance, risk and compliance driven programs, initiatives and tasks to be locally implemented and executed.Key RequirementsLawyer with legal qualification e.g. Bachelor of Laws or Master of Laws, with 2-4 years relevant experience with European Data Privacy regulations (preferably the country where the CPL is based);Experience in private service oriented practice with a law firm or as an in-house counsel;Demonstrable understanding and at least 3 years of verifiable experience with Privacy and Data Protection laws/regulations;Understanding of risk mitigation practices, gap analysis and internal audit processes, data protection best practices and impact assessments, and the support of ISO certifications from a data protection perspective;Experience in providing advice and in promoting data protection programs in particular in the financial services industry (desirable);Project management skills (desirable);Sound knowledge of Microsoft 365 and OneTrust compliance tool (desirable);Reliable and ability to work under pressure and within strict timelines;Motivated and capable of managing own workload with a sense of priority and flexibility;Ability to work in matrix management and interact with external parties: suppliers, service providers, clients, partners;Discretion, and high ethical standards;Excellent communication and coordination skills in order to interact with various departments, across different countries;Ability to effectively and efficiently communicate with
