Squarespace is seeking an experienced Corporate Paralegal to join our legal team. As an important part of a fast-growing global SAAS organization, you'll coordinate a variety of projects and processes for the team, such as supporting our board of directors meetings and shareholder annual meetings. You'll contribute to our public compliance and reporting processes, and other corporate law matters.
We're looking for a Corporate Paralegal who knows how to ask the right questions and prioritize several tasks. You should enjoy relationship-building and working collaboratively while managing sensitive information.
You will report to our corporate Assistant General Counsel and will be based in our New York City office.
You'll Get To… Help draft, coordinate, and maintain board and committee meeting materials
Support board and committee meetings
Provide other governance support to our board of directors on an as-needed basis, including new director onboarding and annual D&O questionnaires
Assist with Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) filings, including proxy statement and periodic filings and earnings announcements
Organize our corporate legal compliance calendar and corporate minutes, documentation and filing
Support subsidiary governance and management
Assist with multiple equity-related matters, including coordination of trading blackouts and notices, 10b5-1 plans and trading pre-clearance processes
Assist with debt, equity, M&A and other strategic initiatives, including providing due diligence support, data room management and preparing and organizing documents for the legal team and partners
Lead projects to ensure high quality work and support for other teams including areas for automation or improved technology
What We're Looking For 3+ years of relevant experience at a law firm or medium-to-large company (ideally at a publicly traded company)
Extremely organized and process oriented
Notary public or ability to become a notary
Diligent with a high attention to detail and a commitment to operational execution
Deep interest in corporate law, governance and business transactions
Tech skills with proficiency in Asana
Bachelor's degree

Cash Compensation Range: $85,500 – $138,000 USD The base salary for this position will vary based on job-related criteria including relevant skills, experience, and location, among other factors. In addition to the cash compensation above (which includes base salary and, where applicable for eligible roles, may include on-target commissions or overtime pay), all Squarespace employees are eligible to receive equity in the company as part of their total compensation.
