Position Summary: ultra focused – Work together to fearlessly uncover new possibilities
To plan and execute the national launch of available commercial drugs
To compliantly engage with local authorities to ensure sustainable reimbursement of our brands in line with defined internal guidance
To build sustainable relationships with key stakeholders in Country (KOLs, Policy Makers, Payers)
To contribute to the development of Ultragenyx's future portfolio
To demonstrate the credibility of Ultragenyx and its value proposition with relevant authorities and healthcare professionals.
Work Model: Remote: Officially documented as working full-time from home, with travel to Ultragenyx's offices or other locations on occasion as needed.
Responsibilities: Establishment of Ultragenyx's business in Country by successfully launching available commercial drugs
Be capable of fully articulating Ultragenyx's medical and scientific offering to clinicians
Development of Country commercial strategy and account plans
In coordination with relevant Global, Regional and Country teams, prepare and execute effective future product launches:
Conducting market analyses
Defining a Country Go-to-Market Strategy.
Organization of participation at national and regional Medical & Educational Congresses and Exhibitions
Represent Ultragenyx to national authorities and healthcare professionals, ensuring compliance of activities and alignment with internal Policies and industry ethical standards
Local planning of product demand and discretionary expenses
Monitor changes in local health care system and analyze impact on Ultragenyx business
Requirements: University degree in Medicine/Biology/Chemistry/Pharmacy or equivalent degree
Intimate knowledge of the national health care system and valid permission to work in Country
At least 7 years of sales experience in secondary care with a proven success record in product launches
Experienced in budget management, preferably with P&L accountability
Experience in key opinion leader engagement
Experience in organization of educational events
Capable and willing to engage with customers face to face as well as with digital communication technology
Analytical skills
Thorough knowledge of industry code of conduct and relevant legislation
Experienced in marketing and sales of Orphan Drugs
Medical Affairs experience will be valued
First-hand experience with national reimbursement system
Established contacts with opinion leaders in lipidology and metabolic medicine
