Our client is a leading company in the automotive industry and is looking for an Chartered Accountant for the plant located in Palmela.responsabilidades chaveThe main purpose of the role is to take responsibility for the General Accounting services focusing mainly on:Managing the period-end close process for one or more legal entities to include preparing accruals, prepayments and manual journal entries to ensure that the ledgers are closed in line with corporate timetables and with high levels of reporting accuracy and reliability.To lead the balance sheet reconciliation preparation process, where the purpose of the balance sheet reconciliation process is to help ensure that the ending balance on an account as of the reconciliation date is valid, complete and correctly recorded.Local GAAP accounting adjustments for each legal entity and supporting the transfer of required information to the outsourced tax and statutory accounts provider.Main responsabilities:To prepare the accruals and prepayment entries to ensure that the month end financial position and results are accurately statedTo take responsibility for determining accounting and approach to capturing and recording new transaction typesTo prepare manual journal entriesTo prepare accruals and review accruals reporting to identify errors and make corrections with the manual journal entriesTo prepare the required balance sheet reconciliationsTo work with third party distributors and plant operation teams to resolve inventory accounting issuesTo act as the point of escalation for intercompany mismatches between local markets to resolve and agree on appropriate treatment of transactionsTo raise and review intercompany back-charges from or to the local market to ensure consistency of financial reporting between different marketsTo prepare the balance sheet month-on-month analysis, actual cash flow reporting (for IFRS consolidation) and cash flow forecasting for reporting to corporateTo take ownership or both the IFRS and local statutory ledgersTo support the preparation of information required for local statutory accounts and all tax filings as requested by the third-party advisorsTo prepare reporting and analysis to support the Finance Business Partner to understand the financial position of the local marketcompetênciasThe ideal candidate will have/be :3 years of experience in the financial fieldWorking knowledge of SAP (plus)Advanced Microsoft excel userQualified Accountant with a recognized accountancy qualificationUniversity degree educatedprincipais benefíciosExcellent opportunity to join a leading company in the automotive industry and with excellent opportunities for professional growth and development.#J-18808-Ljbffr
