They work continually to help ensure that their clients make the best business decisions in light of VAT changes and developments. They monitor and anticipate changes to VAT legislation and respond quickly with advice specific to their clients' compliance requirements.The Consultants are focused on the preparation and submission of VAT declarations in all countries where our clients develop strategic transactions. They are responsible for promoting relationship management and communicating with clients and tax authorities in several countries, as well as monitoring and following up on respective processes.The position requires skills to deal with clients and tax authorities in various jurisdictions, as well as the technical VAT knowledge to provide VAT services to our clients worldwide. A career as a VAT Consultant will suit those who enjoy constantly researching and analyzing problems, being an 'expert' in their field, and communicating complex information in a simple manner.Duties and Responsibilities:Identify and understand client's business and flows to ensure VAT compliance is completed speedily and efficiently, submitting VAT declarations and associated documents by appropriate deadlines.Analyze VAT data submitted by clients, prepare, and validate VAT declarations to ensure completed forms follow legislation and regulations in each country.Act as the point of contact with clients and prepare reports and advice emails.Serve as the point of contact with tax authorities in countries where clients have strategic transactions.Handle information requests and audits performed by tax authorities on behalf of clients.Assist Senior/Manager in dealing with intricate business issues of clients.Follow up on VAT registration/deregistration processes to ensure compliance with legislation and regulations in different countries.Help businesses and individuals create strategies for dealing with VAT and prepare for their future in the financial market.Proactively research and update VAT knowledge database.Education and Experience:Bachelor's degree / Master's degree in Law, Management or Economics. Fluent in English (spoken and written); other languages valued in recruitment process.Professional experience of at least 2 years in a multinational company/environment.Computer Skills:Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Internet navigation and research is required.Certificates and Licenses:No specific certificate or license required.Supervisory Responsibilities:This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
