Job DescriptionThe Compliance Officer in Portugal plays a crucial role in managing the company's Compliance Management Program, ensuring adherence to legal standards and protecting the organization from illegal activities. This position involves close collaboration with significant regulatory bodies such as the Banco de Portugal and the Unidade de Informação Financeira, focusing on compliance with anti-money laundering and counter-terrorism financing regulations. The officer is responsible for the development, implementation, and monitoring of compliance policies and procedures within the Portuguese territory.Additionally, the role includes training agents, employees, and clients, and supporting the implementation of new products to ensure they meet regulatory requirements. The Compliance Officer must also maintain regular communication with Ria Payment Institution EP SA management and report on compliance activities and issues. This position requires excellent analytical and organizational skills, the ability to manage complex situations, and effective communication capabilities to lead and motivate othersResponsibilitiesDevelop, implement, and monitor the company's Compliance Management Program in Portugal, including planning, organizing, and overseeing daily compliance activities.Serve as a liaison with regulatory authorities, particularly the Banco de Portugal, the Unidade de Informação Financeira, and other relevant authorities to meet the obligations under the AML/CFT regulatory framework.
