Offer Description Notice is hereby given that, at the University of Trás-os-Montes and Alto Douro (UTAD), for a period of 30 working days from the day immediately following the publication of this notice in the Diário da República, an International open competition is being held for the recruitment, in the form of a public employment contract, of an Assistant Professor, in the disciplinary/scientific area of Psychology, Sub-area of Educational and Developmental Psychology.
The person recruited will sign an indefinite-duration public service contract in the category for which this competition was opened, with a five-year probationary period.
Requirements for Admission to the Competition IV.1 - Only those who hold a doctoral degree may be admitted to this competition.
IV.2 - Candidates of foreign nationality, except those from Portuguese-speaking countries, must have a command of the Portuguese language, both spoken and written, corresponding to the minimum common reference level B1.
Absolute Merit Approval Requirements V.1 - The admission of candidates is subject to their approval on absolute merit, which depends on the cumulative fulfillment of the following requirements:
Degree in Psychology.
PhD in Psychology with a thesis topic in Educational Psychology and/or Developmental Psychology.
Publication of at least three articles or chapters in books or journals with scientific peer-reviewed relevant to the Educational and Developmental Psychology subfield in the last five years.
