Offer Description Work Plan: Assist the research team in the project tasks for which they are assigned and contribute to their pursuit, namely in introducing data relating to magic lantern slides into databases and in the study of their conservation state and characterization using spectroscopic techniques of magic lantern slides. Actively participate in other dissemination activities for different target audiences, within the scope of the project.
Workplace: The fellowship is valid for 6 months and is expected to start on November 2024. The fellowship contract may eventually be renewed within the duration of the project.

Minimum Requirements:
MSc in Conservation-Restoration (specialization in Ceramics and Glass)
Requirement 1: It is mandatory to hold a master's degree in Conservation and Restoration and cumulatively comply with the following requirements:
Experience in conservation and restoration of glass objects;
Experience in synthesis and characterization of red lake pigments historically used in painting magic lantern slides;
Experience in entering data into a database;
Experience in assembling exhibitions within the scope of research projects;
Requirement 2: The candidate must be enrolled in a PhD, or a non-degree course integrated into an educational project of a Higher Education Institution. The documents proving this situation must be presented, at the latest, until the stage of contracting the scholarship, and before that, they can be replaced by a declaration of honour.
Preferred factors: Oral and written knowledge of the English language; Ability for teamwork and cooperation.
Additional Information Monthly maintenance allowance amount: The amount of the monthly maintenance allowance is € 1259.64, according to the values for Research Fellowships awarded by FCT, I.P., in Portugal. The payment method is by bank transfer.

Selection criteria: The selection methods to be used will be the following: A) scientific merit of the candidate (including requirements and preferential factors): 80% (0-20 values); B) interview: 20% (0-20 values). All applicants who meet the admission requirements will be selected for an interview.

Form of advertising/notification of results: The evaluation results proposed by the jury will be notified, up to 90 days after the deadline for the submission of applications, by email, with access to the minutes and the final ranking list. After notification, candidates will have 10 working days to comment on the draft decision (prior hearing of interested parties, under the terms of the Code of Administrative Procedure). The final decision will be taken after the expiry of the prior hearing period, again notified to all candidates by e-mail. Of this final decision, the candidates can file a complaint within 15 working days (to the e-mail address used for the notification), or a hierarchical appeal, within 30 working days, addressed to NOVA.ID.FCT's Board through the address ******.
