Commissioning Specialist for Gas Insulated SwitchgearAs part of our activities, you work on our customers' sites to carry out the commissioning of GIS – Gas Insulated Switchgear. You are responsible for your team and the subcontractors working on your behalf. You are the guarantor of compliance with the commissioning and/or maintenance procedures recommended by the factories, and you are also the guarantor of compliance with deadlines in accordance with the site schedule established in advance. Finally, you ensure the safety of all people working on your site.A Snapshot of Your DayAs part of our activities, you work on our customers' sites to carry out the commissioning of GIS – Gas Insulated Switchgear. Finally, you ensure the safety of all people working on your site.How You'll Make an ImpactTechnical responsibility for an assigned commissioning team, ensuring technically perfect, timely, and cost-effective commissioning of gas insulated high voltage feeders and related control cubicles.High Voltage Testing, PD Measurement, and commissioning of PSD devices.Responsible for EHS compliance, planning and processing site logistics, and schedule tracking based on existing project time schedules.Clarification of technical problems during commissioning, quality assurance, non-conformity reporting, and advising/instructing erection personnel.Preparation of commissioning reports, including test reports, weekly progress reports, and final task reports.Commissioning, troubleshooting, and rectification of Siemens energy GIS's, handling GIS tools and equipment, and applying Siemens Energy commissioning drawings and work instructions.What You BringBachelor's degree, Diploma, or equivalent experience in electrical engineering, energy technology, or comparable education/qualification.Proficient in English; additional language skills are a plus.Availability for international travel approximately 90% of the time, including long-term assignments on construction sites in Europe and optional offshore platform assignments.Effective problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure in time-critical situations.Ability to prioritize tasks, manage workloads with minimal supervision, and handle multiple diverse tasks flexibly.Preferential knowledge in SIPROTEC 5 & DIGSI operating software, communication in electrical networks, network protocols, IT knowledge, information security, and standard office applications.About the TeamOur Grid Technologies division enables a reliable, sustainable, and digital grid.
