Commercial Analytics Senior Associate LIVE What you will do The Commercial Analytics team at Amgen plays a pivotal role as a strategic partner to Commercial leadership, offering data-backed insights crucial for driving commercial success. As a Commercial Analytics Senior Associate, you will assist in generating insights by integrating multiple secondary data sources and engaging with several Commercial Data and Analytics (CD&A) colleagues to develop an understanding of brand performance and provide tactical recommendations to enhance it.
Responsibilities will include:
Design and execute secondary data analytics to support strategic decision-making, including implementing solutions, tracking progress, and coordinating results readout.Collaborate with CD&A colleagues to synthesize findings, and build a comprehensive understanding of disease areas and commercial opportunities.Partner and build relationships with global brand lead and teams across the organization, such as marketing, medical, pricing/contracting to contribute to enterprise decisions and discussions.Analyze complex data sources (e.g., HCP / Account-level Demand, Pharmacy / Medical Claims, Electronic Medical Records) using tools like Amazon Redshift/Databricks/SQL.Manage relationships with external vendors to prioritize business needs and ensure effective execution of analytics.Enhance CD&A team capabilities by researching and implementing new analytical tools, methodologies, and data sources.Produce, refine and deliver regular performance dashboards and reports combining multiple data sources.Partner with CD&A Insights and Forecasting teams to provide historical and analog analyses for forecasts and long-range scenarios.Work with the data management team to enable data integration for specific analytic needs.Provide ad hoc analysis in response to business questions.WIN What we expect of you Our ideal candidate is a team player with customer focus. Proven experience and skills needed:
Minimum 3 years of experience in Pharma/Biotech commercial operations, finance and/or analytics and reporting experience.OR Master's degree and 3 years of sales & marketing operations, finance and/or analytics experience.OR Bachelor's degree and 5 years of analytics sales & marketing operations, finance and/or analytics experience.University Degree in data science, information systems, commerce, finance, economics, mathematics, healthcare or related field.Fluency in English, both in written and oral communication.Strong SQL, Excel and PowerPoint knowledge.Preferred Requirements: Experience with technologies and applications used to analyze, synthesize, and integrate data.Proficiency in database languages (e.g., SQL) and spreadsheet analytics (e.g., Excel).Familiarity with data visualization software (e.g., Tableau).Familiarity with Databricks or AWS is a plus.Understanding of the strengths and limitations of different analytical approaches and their findings.Ability to identify and define business problems, and address them through data, analytics, and research.Strong project management skills to turn unstructured business issues into actionable plans that result in meaningful strategic or tactical recommendations.Excellent oral and written presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts verbally or visually via PowerPoint.Consistent engagement and effective collaboration with cross-functional teams to shape brand strategy and understand risks and opportunities.Demonstrates a service-minded attitude.Skilled in handling multiple responsibilities, priorities, tasks, and projects simultaneously.THRIVE What you can expect of us Vast opportunities to learn, develop, and move up and across our global organization.Diverse and inclusive community of belonging, where colleagues are empowered to bring ideas to the table, take risks, and act.Generous Amgen Total Rewards Plan comprising healthcare, finance, wealth and career benefits.Flexible work arrangements.APPLY NOW for a career that defies imagination.
