Security / Cloud Security Engineer
We are looking for a dedicated Security / Cloud Security Engineer to safeguard our cloud and on-premise infrastructures, ensuring they meet top-tier security standards and comply with regulatory and company policies. This role involves implementing security best practices across both environments, managing incident responses, and fostering a security-first culture throughout the organization. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in cloud and network security, regulatory compliance, and risk management across hybrid infrastructures.
Key Responsibilities:
Security Architecture and Implementation: Design and implement secure infrastructures for cloud and on-premise environments, focusing on data protection, access management, and network security.
Incident Response and Vulnerability Management: Actively monitor, manage, and respond to security incidents. Conduct root cause analysis and apply preventative strategies for both cloud and on-premise systems.
Compliance and Governance: Ensure all infrastructures meet industry standards (e.g., ISO 27001) and adhere to internal governance and regulatory requirements.
Monitoring and Reporting: Establish and maintain security monitoring systems using SIEM solutions and intrusion detection systems, promptly identifying and addressing security threats.
Team Education and Support: Train and guide other teams on security best practices, integrating security protocols into the development lifecycle across both cloud and on-premise projects.
Qualifications
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Security Expertise in Hybrid Environments: 5+ years of experience securing cloud and on-premise infrastructures, with proficiency in Azure, Google Cloud, and network security for on-premise environments.
Relevant Security Certifications: Certifications such as Azure Security Engineer Associate, Google Professional Cloud Security Engineer, or Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP).
Knowledge of Security Tools: Familiarity with firewalls, VPNs, endpoint protection, SIEM systems, and security tools tailored for on-premise environments.
Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Strong ability to analyze and remediate vulnerabilities in cloud and on-premise settings, including conducting risk assessments and implementing proactive solutions.
Preferred Skills and Qualifications:
Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
Compliance Framework Experience: Knowledge of GDPR and other regulatory frameworks, as well as security policies for hybrid infrastructures.
DevSecOps and Security Automation: Familiarity with DevSecOps practices, security automation, and protocols for hybrid cloud and on-premise setups.
