Cloud Operations Engineer
The Cloud Operations Engineer specializes in administration of environment infrastructure, inclusive of application and network hardware resources. Develops and manages a patching schedule and response to identified incidents from both production and non-production environments. Collaborates with product feature development teams to create run books, 'night of deployment' manuals, and contact lists prior to releasing new and/or enhanced features to production. This role is part of the overall Infrastructure Domain within the Körber OneIT matrix organization.
Responsibilities
Configuration and infrastructure management with tools like CloudFormation, Terraform
Executing and troubleshooting SaaS application deployment procedures
Development of and continual improvement of automation and procedures
Analysing and supporting infrastructure in AWS/Azure
Monitoring system performance and recommend corrective action.
Documenting current environment and ongoing maintenance of documentation
Collaborate with team leads, engineers, and support staff to ensure continuous and reliable delivery of service
Troubleshoot incidents, identify root cause, fix and document problems, and implement preventive measures
Qualifications
Education: Associates Degree in a related field (Networking, Software Development, Database Administration)
Systems Knowledge: Knowledge of Windows or Linux based systems including Hardware, software, networking and storage
Experience: 1+ year of cloud implementations & operational support of a cloud ecosystem at Enterprise scale with Microsoft Azure or AWS
ITSM Processes: Knowledge of ITSM processes and tooling (ServiceNow, other)
Scripting Knowledge: Knowledge of or desire to learn: Scripting languages such as Bash, Python, and Powershell
Version Control: AWS or Azure Git, GitHub, and related Pipelines and IaC
Personal Skills & Behaviors
Team player with a positive attitude, while being capable of working independently in a fast-paced environment. Excellent verbal/written communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to a non-technical audience. Must be a self-starter with excellent time management skills, attention to detail and desire to continuously learn and expand knowledge. Experience analyzing, troubleshooting, and providing solutions for technical issues.
