We are looking for a CLOUD & INFRASTRUCTURE SOLUTION DESIGNER to join our INFRASTRUCTURE'S TEAM at BIT.
Reporting to the Area Manager, the Cloud & Infrastructure Solution Designer's mission is to drive and lead the technology decisions for current and future development of infrastructure-based solutions.
Design high-level infrastructure-based solutions (compute, storage, networking, cloud, databases, tools, and others) in a clear and efficient way for relevant initiatives, support all others, when necessary, as well as create conditions for proofs of concept and respective tests in real or laboratory environments.
Define, propose, and manage infrastructure evolution strategy and roadmaps, aligned with enterprise objectives incorporating technology trends and innovations.
Foster and implement infrastructure architecture and technology guidelines, standards, and best practices.
Ensure that technical designs comply with applicable architecture standards and designs are functionally and technically feasible.
Monitor and ensure that implementations are carried out according to design standards and good practices to be applied.
Validate technology ability to meet business, performance, integration, and scalability requirements for each project.
Coach technical teams to adhere to good enterprise practices.
Partner with application architects, business partners, program managers and development teams on oversight for all requirements to formulate appropriate architecture required to provide system functionality, deciding when to advocate and when to compromise to arrive at mutually acceptable solutions.
Negotiate contracts with partners to accomplish better TCO (Total Cost Ownership).
Understand the long-term business objectives and propose technology strategies to meet those objectives.
Be a team player in the investigation of new technologies, incorporating innovation on architectural initiatives, to meet medium to long term business needs.
Minimum Requirements:
Graduation in IT area or similar.
More than 2 years of experience on IT architecture definition, experience 2+ years as a systems engineer and/or implementing infrastructure-based solutions (compute, virtualization, cloud, storage, networking, databases).
Demonstrated understanding and knowledge of cloud architecture and core infrastructure technology design, driving adoption solutions and implementation.
Develop solutions architecture and evaluate architectural alternatives for private, public and hybrid cloud models, including IaaS, PaaS, and other cloud services.
Demonstrate understanding and knowledge in container technology and DevOps tool chains and processes (e.g., Docker, Gitlab, Jenkins, Kubernetes, Terraform, Ansible).
Define optimal design patterns and solutions for high availability and disaster recovery for applications.
Problem-solving mindset, leveraging internal or external resources when needed and for what is right for the business, formulating the best solutions and always risk assessing the various implementation options.
Additional Skills:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to translate complex technical concepts into understandable terms.
Demonstrate leadership ability to back decisions with research and the "why," and articulate several options, the pros and cons for each, and a recommendation.
Ability to work at tactical and strategic level simultaneously.
