.Clinical Laboratory Technician Localização: Champalimaud Centre for The Unknown Entidade Empregadora: Champalimaud Foundation Regime: Tempo Inteiro Posição: Técnico Início da Candidatura: 17 Jul. 2024 The Champalimaud Foundation, a private, non-profit research institution in Lisbon, Portugal, is looking for a Clinical Laboratory Technician to join our team at the Champalimaud Experimental Clinical Research Programme, specifically the Immunotherapy / Immunosurgery Lab. We are looking to expand efforts in the GMP production of cell products. The successful applicant is expected to be a pivotal co-worker in a team dedicated to developing and improving immune cell-based therapies for patients with cancer with a focus on GMP compliant production of cell products including gene-modified immune cells. The selected candidate will assume the duties/responsibilities below: Lab management and organisation with an excellent team and collaborative spirit within the institution and with our international partners; Close interaction with clinical colleagues and within immunotherapeutic programmes; Analysis and interpretation of immune responses; Procurement of clinicalsamples; Procurement of cellularproducts for (non-vector and vector-based) therapy; Execution of processes in immune-histology and cellular analysis; In vitro tissue culture; Advanced flow cytometric analyses and QC documentation; Molecular biology skills. Required Education Level: Masters degree. Minimum qualifications: Very good knowledge in molecular techniques, cloning, excellent knowledge in flow cytometry, T-cell sorting and gauging immune effector functions. Team spirit and will to collaborate within the Foundation and with our partner institutions with the possibility to travel for clinical, international projects. Essential skills: Strong knowledge in human T-cell and B-cell biology and immunology. Documented and well advanced practical and theoretical knowledge in (human) T-cell immunology, T-cell receptor, B-cell receptor structure / analysis and biology, DNA cloning and (vector, e.G. lentiviral) guided transfer of genetic material into recipient cells. Experience working with lentiviral (LV) and non-LV based gene transfer. Excellent skills in immuno-histology and in situ analysis of B- and T- cell responses in malignant diseases. Required Languages: Fluency in English and excellent communication skills (written and verbal) in English.
