Who you are: Within this new role, you will be the main responsible for the successful delivery of RFPs for Portugal. With strong communication and organizational skills, you function as a liaison between Sales and Operations. You are the person who ensures that the client needs outlined in the brief are met through winning proposals. Then, once the business is won, the project is handed over to Operations flawlessly, ensuring all prior work is properly documented and shared.
You are a multi-tasker with the ability to work on multiple projects at the same time whilst ensuring quality, innovation as well as timely delivery of proposals at all times.
You have a true passion for Portugal as MICE destination and are constantly on the lookout for the newest venues and to-dos to ensure we are ahead of our game. You are a team player who feels like a fish in the water in an international ambience.
Besides being our star when it comes to proposal development, you are also able to support our Operations team onsite when the event agenda calls for extra support, displaying your skills as an experienced Event manager.
Skills and requirements 3 – 5 years of experience in the MICE Market as Project manager/Event manager (ideally DMC)Excellent knowledge of Portugal as MICE destinationProven experience in budgeting and Event proposal writingExperience with SAP CRM and/or Cvent is a plusGood written and verbal communicationProficient spoken and written Portuguese and English communication skills; fluency in other languages is a plusCreativity, curiosity, high energy level, and an enthusiasm for meeting and working with a wide range of individualsComfortable engaging with multiple stakeholders and can effectively articulate and defend your decisions both orally and in writingAbility to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlinesAbility to make decisions and to prioritize tasks as well as remain calm under stressProblem-solving skillsAbility to work both autonomously and as part of a teamExceptional attention to detail and ability to deliver high-quality solutionsEagerness to learnPortugal and international travel may be requiredInterest in and knowledge of sustainable event design valued** Please refrain from applying if you do not meet these requirements**
