Civil Quantity Surveyor

Technoedif Engenharia SA is the Portugal leader in Engineering, Procurement and Construction services to the Industry and Energy Fields. In order to further develop these objectives, Technoedif Engenharia is recruiting Civil Quantity Surveyor.

Job Description:

We are currently seeking a Civil Quantity Surveyor, to join a EPCm team based in Sines, to be permanently assigned to our project of green transition, reporting to Subcontracts Manager.

Key Responsabilites:

• Assist in identifying potential variation to project scope, cost, schedule, specification, and working drawings;
• Assist in collecting supporting documents and complete a project Variation Notice form for review with personnel involved and confirmation through meetings;
• Assist in the preparation of assesment of cost based from Subcontract price and Purchase Orders;
• Check Extra Works submitted by Subcontractor;
• Check quantities and unit prices according to Subcontract Agreement;
• Check new unit price submitted by Subcontractors during the course of the project;
• Studies all quantum justifications given by subcontractor for any change order, variation request, offers and the like;
• Upon request of Subcontract Manager, assist and participate for any subcontractor commercial negotiation regarding change orders, variations, back charge;
• Prepare Qty take off of: all Foundation Structures, Buildings, underground structures, earthworks, steel structures & road works;
• Prepare monthly accounting ledgers and book keeping registers;
• Prepare monthly financial status report;
• Review and prepare Final Financial Statement of Subcontracts (incl. final quantity reconciliation, indirect adjustment, variation orders, claims, backcharges).

Job Requirements and Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or M. SC Degree;
• Minimum five years of experience in Oil & Gas/green energy Industry, EPCm type contract;
• Excellent command of written and spoken English;
• Ability to prioritize, coordinate and complete tasks to meet deadlines;
• Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment.
