Cis System Engineer

On behalf of one of our key partners, RED now has a new opportunity for a CIS System Engineer to join a new project. The contract is hybrid in Utrecht with an initial length of 12 months with a chance of extension beyond that.
This role is to start on the 2nd of December, so being available to start immediately would be a necessity.
Contract type: Freelance B2B.
Location: 2 days a week on-site Utrecht, 3 days remote.
Skills
+10 years of experience engineering mobile communication and information systems.
In-depth understanding and demonstrated background in systems engineering principles, methodologies, and tools, including requirements analysis, system design, integration, testing, and validation.
Expertise in designing and managing robust and secure communication networks, including LAN, WAN, MAN, and satellite communications. Knowledge of network protocols, routing, and switching is essential.
Experience with RF systems and technologies, including spectrum management, signal propagation, and interference mitigation.
Skills in integrating diverse software applications and systems, ensuring interoperability and seamless communication across different platforms and devices.
Familiarity with military communication standards, protocols, and compliance requirements such as MIL-STD-1553, MIL-STD-188, and NATO standards.
Experience with digital engineering and model-based systems engineering methods and tools.
