The CIM Tech Lead - Electrical and Controls is responsible for leading the design, development, and integration of the electrical and control systems. This role oversees a team of electrical and controls engineers to ensure the successful delivery of projects that meet all technical, safety, and regulatory requirements.
Your Mission:
Lead the design and development of the electrical systems, including generators, transformers, switchgear, and power distribution components.Oversee the design and implementation of the wind turbine control systems, including PLC programming, SCADA integration, and performance optimization.Coordinate the work of cross-functional teams, including electrical engineers, controls engineers, and technicians, to ensure seamless project execution.Troubleshoot and resolve any issues or malfunctions with the electrical and control systems, and implement corrective measures.Ensure compliance with all relevant industry standards, regulations, and safety requirements.Identify opportunities for improving the efficiency, reliability, and performance of the electrical and control systems, and implement process improvements.Provide technical leadership and mentorship to the engineering team.Collaborate with other departments, such as project management and quality assurance, to ensure the successful delivery of projects.
Your Profile
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field;Minimum 8 years of experience in the wind turbine industry or a similar field;Proven expertise in the design, development, and integration of electrical and control systems for wind turbines;Strong project management skills and the ability to lead cross-functional teams;Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills;Thorough understanding of industry standards, regulations, and safety requirements;Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field;Experience with PLC programming, SCADA systems, and data analysis;Knowledge of aerodynamics, structural design, and power generation;Certification in project management or a related field.
