Chief Java Developer - Lisboa, Portugal - Epam Expert Java Developer sought for e-trading applications development with expertise in Agile software development life-cycle and technical analysis.
The ideal candidate will contribute to the development of existing Java-based quant applications utilized by credit traders and management across the globe.
Responsibilities:
Participation in Agile-based software development life-cycle incorporating technical analysis, documentation, development, testing, and code reviews
Teamwork with the production support team to facilitate the release and maintenance of components
Contribution of knowledge and experience to propose and provide feedback on architecture, design, technology choices, and the platform's technology direction
Key Requirements:
Minimum of 7 years' experience in Java-core software development
Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor a team of engineers
Proficiency in algorithms
Solid understanding of test-driven development and continuous integration practices
Proficiency in Concurrency, Core Java Development, and Java Multithreading
Prior experience in Algorithmic Trading and Financial Services
English proficiency in both written and verbal communication
Nice to Have:
Prior experience in developing e-trading applications
Familiarity with financial markets and products
