To join our team, in August 2025, we are looking for a well-qualified and talented teacher of Chemistry.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Inspire and motivate students, colleagues, and parents by building trust and confidence in all academic interactions.
Plan and deliver effective teaching programs aligned with GCSE, A-Level, or IBDP curricula, promoting high academic achievement and fostering student engagement.
Target and support individual learning needs through differentiated instruction and by maintaining high levels of classroom behaviour and discipline.
Utilize student tracking and assessment data to monitor progress, implement necessary interventions, and ensure students meet challenging academic targets.
Contribute to school development planning by aligning teaching strategies with the school's goals and promoting school-wide learning priorities.
Establish a positive and safe classroom environment, ensuring the well-being of students and facilitating a productive space for learning.
Communicate regularly with parents and other stakeholders to provide updates on student progress, well-being, and areas for improvement.
Participate in extra-curricular activities and school initiatives, supporting the broader educational experience through trips, clubs, and enrichment activities.
Engage in professional development and stay current with advancements in teaching methods to continuously improve classroom practice.
Collaborate with colleagues across departments, contributing positively to school culture, teamwork, and the promotion of the school's values and ethos.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE: A relevant degree and valid teaching qualification with experience in teaching GCSE, A-Level, or IBDP curricula.
Proven ability to inspire trust, engage, and motivate students to achieve their best in academic and personal growth.
Strong classroom management skills to maintain high standards of behaviour and a purposeful learning environment.
Proficiency in using modern technology to enhance learning experiences inside and outside the classroom.
Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with students, parents, and colleagues.
A demonstrated ability to differentiate instruction and meet the individual learning needs of students.
Experience in using formative and summative assessments to monitor and advance student progress.
A commitment to contributing to school improvement and development planning.
Enthusiasm for participating in extracurricular activities and supporting the wider school community.
A proactive approach to continuous professional development and staying updated with the latest educational trends and curriculum changes.
